A reminder to all students that you must wear the correct HT PE/Sport Uniform, including socks – White with a navy and pale blue stripe for PE and Sport and in classes. Where the football socks are required for AFL, soccer and hockey, students need to change before taking the field. Please be sure that you have these socks.

After a short preparation period, the main day of our House Athletics Carnival was held in perfect conditions at the Knox Athletics Track. This day saw lots of challenges, close finishes, many PB's and 8 records. I thank the Huntingtower Staff for their work and support of the students by officiating, processing results and completing all the jobs that are required to run a carnival. Special thanks goes to Mr Stephen Hough who set up and over saw the running of the photo finish equipment at the Knox track. We are the only school who uses the equipment outside of Athletics Victoria or Victorian Little Athletics Association events to the same standard as that which is used for the EISM Carnivals.

Lead by our School Athletics Captains, Ashleigh Morley and Devon Rushton, the Huntingtower Athletics Team went to the EISM Division 1 Carnival at Lakeside Stadium, determined to do their best. They finished the day with an overall 3rd placing, against the very large schools of Luther College and Aquinas College. This is an amazing achievement given the short preparation period and two of our morning trainings were rain affected. It also shows that every place counts in these competitions. In summary, the team gained 7 1st Places, 16 2nd Places and 21 3rd Places.

Jasmine Schokman U13 Girls Long Jump
