Parents & Friends Association

Lending a hand is an attribute well imbued in the Huntingtower community. A big thank you to all those who lent a hand supporting, organising, setting up, running and cleaning up after the 2016 fete.

There have been so many people who have contributed to the success of this year's fete, and I am personally very grateful and humbled by your generosity of time, effort and money. I have to particularly thank Sheree Amprimo for going above and beyond with her involvement with the fete.

The P&FA fete committee showed great team professionalism both in the lead up to, and on the windy Saturday itself. I am proud to have witnessed this group of generous, dedicated people in bringing together another memorable event.

As an adjunct to the fete, I have noted the effort of the HT Chinese community in preparing and selling the delicious dumplings that are a perennial favourite of the school fraternity, and I thank them for donating all proceeds to the school.

On behalf of the P&FA, I'd like to say thank you to the HT community for supporting your Parents and Friends Association, realising that even though life is busy, there is always time for your family and your community.

Warmest regards, and happy holidays.

Paul Sylivris

P&FA President

Dear Huntingtower School community

I would like to pass on my sincere thanks for the hard work leading up to and on the day of our school fete. It is only by the efforts of each stall team that we can have a successful day.

I would like to pay tribute to the food stalls this year which ran so smoothly and were delicious. The silent auction was very successful and the entertainment was wonderful. All the stalls, however large or small, made a great contribution so please understand how much we appreciate your involvement.

A special thanks to the fete committee who worked tirelessly throughout the year to pull the infrastructure together.

If you were not able to get involved this year please consider helping out in 2017.

It is in giving without asking for it that we receive so much in return!

Thanks again and have a wonderful Christmas and New Year.

Kind regards

Bruce Burns

Fete Coordinator

The Silent Auction Committee wishes to thank the many Huntingtower families, friends, staff and business owners who made generous donations and who purchased goods and vouchers on fete day.

We had many helpers on the day and many compliments about the presentation of goods and the BINTIN option in particular. We are very grateful for all this.

As the Convenor, I also wish to thank the Committee (Inger, Karen, Rebecca, Sarah W, Sarah F, Janet, Meny, Vicki and Jane) for their tireless work, good humour and good will, right to the end.

Georgia Sinclair

We strongly encourage Junior School parents to visit the Uniform Shop in Term 4 to avoid the queues at the beginning of the year. Second Hand Uniforms

While we appreciate and welcome second hand uniforms for sale we do not accept any second hand uniforms in the period from December to mid-February.

Please note that uniforms should be handed in to the Uniform Shop and not left at the shop door.Any uniforms left at the shop door without prior arrangement will be considered a donation. Please ensure that a second hand form is submitted with the uniform. (forms are available on the school website)

All items should be in good, clean, saleable condition, washed or dry-cleaned.

Cash Clothing Labels

It is highly recommended that all school uniforms are labelled to ensure that any lost property can be returned to the rightful student. Cash Clothing labels are a great way to ensure that this actually happens. Cash Clothing labels offer premium quality personalised women sew-on or iron-on labels and are now available for order through the Uniform Shop.

Uniform Shop Volunteers

The Uniform Shop is looking for volunteers for the Back to School period (mid-January to mid-February) and also to be included on a roster for either Wednesday afternoon or Friday lunchtime or afternoon. If you can spare some time and would like to join the happy team of volunteers, please email the Uniform Shop at This email address is being protected from spambots.
